John H. King, PhD, MSCP, ABPP

  • As a prescribing psychologist in New Mexico, he is qualified to assess, diagnose, and prescribe medication without the need for a separate psychiatrist.

    With his dual training in neuropsychology and psychopharmacology, Dr. King provides a thoughtful and data-driven approach to prescribing, monitoring treatment effectiveness, and adjusting medications as needed. This integrated care model helps ensure continuity and improved outcomes for patients dealing with complex emotional and cognitive issues.

    He completed his graduate training in clinical psychology at Saint Louis University and his internship at Duke University Medical Center, with a focus on clinical neuropsychology. He subsequently completed a two-year postdoctoral residency in clinical neuropsychology at Northwestern University in Chicago. In 2015, Dr. King completed a Master’s in Clinical Psychopharmacology to become a prescribing psychologist.

Dr. Robert "Brock" Frost brings extensive training and expertise to neuropsychological services. He offers psychiatric medication management. In Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, and Los Lunas.

MEDICATION MANAGEMENT

Robert Frost, PhD, MSCP, ABPP

  • Dr. Frost completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of New Mexico Hospital and Clinics, specializing in adult neuropsychology and clinical applications of neuroimaging. He also earned a Master's in Clinical Psychopharmacology from Fairleigh Dickinson University, giving him dual expertise in neuropsychological assessment and medication management.

    As a Board Certified Clinical Neuropsychologist and Health Service Psychologist, Dr. Frost is also certified in psychopharmacology for psychologists. His comprehensive training allows him to provide integrated care for patients with complex cognitive and emotional needs. Dr. Frost has contributed to the field through numerous published abstracts and book chapters, bringing both clinical expertise and research knowledge to his practice.

PSYCHOTHERAPY

Jennifer Chavez, MA, LPCC

  • Prior to her career in counseling, Jennifer was a public school teacher in New Mexico for 17 years teaching elementary and high school. Her passion for assisting people to heal and live more productive and healthier lives is consistent and unwavering.

    Personally, Jennifer has grown up and lived in Albuquerque most of her life.  She has been married for 25 years.  She has four grown children all who work in professional fields such as law, engineering, marketing and medical.  

    Jennifer has worked both in the public and private sector to include government work on contract in Washington, DC as a grant writer and reviewer with Department of Justice and Department of Education.  Her work with EMDR is endorsed by SAMSHA.  

    Jennifer's hobbies and interests include writing poetry and has created a healing through poetry program, cooking and hiking.  She has  been working at Neuropsychological Services of New Mexico for a year and is enjoying the medical side of counseling.  

    Prior, Jennifer spent seven years working with court-mandated programs and taught various court-mandated classes such as anger management and parenting.

AUTISM EVALUATION

Eric Zimak, PhD, ABPP

Dr. Zimak is a board-certified pediatric neuropsychologist. He offers autism evaluations. In Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, and Los Lunas.
  • He evaluates children through young adults with a variety of neurodevelopmental and medical conditions impacting thinking, learning, and behavior.

PSYCHOTHERAPY

Connie McNeil, PhD

  • Following her doctoral studies, Dr. McNeil completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Michigan focusing on spinal cord injury research.

    Her clinical specialty areas encompass a broad spectrum of neuropsychological testing and assessment. She has extensive experience evaluating and diagnosing conditions such as traumatic brain injury (TBI), acquired brain injury, dementia, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and learning disabilities.
